#068 GAD BA3 - P2: Materials & Rendering Fundamentals

Carrying on from P1: Digital Modeling, P2:Materials & Rendering Fundamentals involves adding materials and rendering our door models in to a pre-built game engine. The brief takes us through texturing, UV mapping, hypershading, bump mapping and rendering of our models.

We had a class tutorial on the Monday, sort of brushing over the basics of what we needed to do. Mark used a cube as an example and showed us how the UV mapping works. At first it looked a bit daunting, like most of Maya... However once he showed us the basics it did not seem as bad as my first impression.

Tomorrow should be a bit more of an eye opener, we have a group tutorial where we will be taken through the process in more detail.
